Capital One Application

Hi all,

I have really bad credit, but I wanted a card to help rebuild my credit, so would just use the card for food shopping and pay it off in full each month. Last week, I applied online for a capital one classic credit card, and it got me to electronically sign the agreement and said we will be conducting further checks and if successful send your new card out etc.

Nearly a week has passed and I haven't heard anything. As it got me to sign the agreement and it wasn't an automatic decline, what are the chances of me been accepted?

It depends really. You might have applied while the credit bureaus were unavailable, in which case they still need to do a complete cerdit check and the decision could go either way. Or it could just be a few formalities to make sure you aren't on any terrorist watch lists, which (hopefully) makes it more likely that an acceptance will swiftly follow...
