Firstly, Happy New Year to you all. May this be the year we all become debt free!!
Secondly, this is my first post but I felt that it was time to be as pro-active on these boards as I am attempting to be with my finances. My questions is this, I currently pay £7 a month for the privilage of having a Lloyds Select account and as far as I can see the only benefit I have ever used is the AA cover. Should I change the account to a basic account, and if I should do I just go into the bank and ask them? I'm afraid that up until now I have been a 'head in the sand' kind of girl when it came to money so any advice would be much appreciated.

Yes change it, and yes, go into a branch to do it. Seems a waste of money as you can no doubt get AA cover for far less (especially with cashback sites, or if you use tesco voucher deals).0

Don't ask for the basic acount though change it to the classic one.0

Classic plus should earn you more interest per month, I think

I got my wife's cover with National Breakdown for £10 after £20 cashback through Quidco.0
