Inventory clerk conflict of interest

in House buying, renting & selling
I have recently moved from rented accommodation. At the check-out the inventory clerk recommended that more cleaning needs to be done and a quote has been provided. I am under the impression that the clerk also owns a company that provides professional cleaning. Is this in anyway a conflict of interest. It has been advised more cleaning is required but the cleaning will be undertaken by the check-out clerks company.

    You can look up who the director of a limited company can't you?

    IMO it would be outrageous if they are doing this.

    Check-out inventories aren't about opinions, they are about facts. Can it be proven that the property was less clean at check-out than it was at check-in?
