Help with overriding land line calls using 1280 prefix

All,
I have a BT line rental but also have SKY talk unlimited package for my calls.
As I have a BT line rental saver tariff I am required to make a minimum of 2 calls each month to avoid a £1.50 fee. BT have told me I can use a prefix of 1280 to re-route the calls via BT to avoid this charge.
I have tried this on my phone last few times but does not seem to work.
When I called BT they said they cant see my calls on their network and asked me to speak to SKY who might have blocked the prefix.
I called up SKY talk and they said I cannot use any prefix and even if use it,all calls will still go via SKY.
Has anyone encountered this issue and have any ideas on how to avoid this £1.50 recurring charge?
Many thanks
Sri

Discussed many times before.
It boils down to the fact that you CANNOT override Sky Talk any longer.
The 1280 prefix which used to force individual calls off Sky Talk CPS and back onto BT cannot now do so because Sky buys its carriage from BT - so the calls are already on BT (just billed to BT and then to you rather than to you directly).

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
