Hi
I submitted my complaints with supporting documentation on 28th June for Natwest & 30th June for RBS. I received a letter back from Natwest & RBS about a week later stating they would investigate and get back in touch once investigations were complete, however please note they are dealing with a backlog at present.
Can anyone tell me how long it roughly takes before the investigation is complete?
Thanks

Hi Chock
Good luck with this.
They generally have 8 weeks, but the FSA have given some of the businesses/banks more time, such as for example 16 weeks, if you've not heard anything back at all or for a while chase them up and ask for an update, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Have been waiting for ppi claim that I made to RBS on 2nd September 2010 so nearly twelve months. Have had their standard letter just after they lost the High Court case staing they had until 31st August to respond. Regarding any claims that went in during or after the court case then they have until November to respond to them. I rang them up in July and they said they were working on the early claims in date order and they were then working through August 2010 claims. They confirmed my claim had gone in on 2/9/10 so I should hear something soon. Rang them again last week and they said they still had three weeks to respond. Am so annoyed to read of people who put claims in in May this year and have already received offers. Mind you an offer is one thing, getting the money seems to be another long wait. With the speed of electronic transfers why should it take so long?0

Hi Topkapi, Rbs/natwest have 28 working days to to transfer the money into you account.. Seems they will wait until the last minute for every penny of interest! It may be worth chasing them again just to find out the status of your claim, whether its even been assigned to someone. It will be interesting to to see what happens on the 31st August with the backlog. Good luck with your claim
