A neighbour of a friend mentioned to them that their landlord was having to sell some properties as he is going bankrupt.
She is now worried that her house is going to be one of them.
Does she have a right to know if the LL is going bankrupt? So far a search of registers has thrown up nothing).
Her tenancy only mentions the letting agent that previously managed the property. It has since changed to a new one and they were harassing her to sign a new agreement which she doesn't want to do as they want her to get a guarantor now.
Another friend with the same landlord only has the new agent on their tenancy - but no mention of the landlord.
Could it be the LL has already sold off the properties or just that they're being managed by this new agent now.
There are several repairs need doing at the properties and I have suggested they write to the landlord requesting the work be done rather than the letting agent - which is how this all came to light as they do not have an address for the landlord.
