Hi hope somebody could advise please.. was made redundant on the 15th July this year got redundancy payment etc my question is can i claim for jsa say in 6months or so or do you have to apply straight away not going to be looking for work until after xmas for various reasons

    You have to be actively seeking employment to qualify for JSA.

    If you're not looking for work, you can't claim JSA. Whether you can claim in the future will depend on whether you've paid the appropriate NICs (for contributions based) or your household income/savings (for means tested).
