Bought this bed (www(dot)amazon(dot)co(dot)uk/gp/product/B003OJQ19I/ref=cm_cr_mts_prod_img) nine months ago and as I said in the review I've recently added:
"Plastic bits to hold in the wooden slats continuously snapped from time of purchase, more fool me that I didn't contact them at this stage. Finally, nine months down the line the entire metal frame of the bed bent and folded like a deck of cards.
Contacted the company and was told there is only a six month guarantee. Am now sleeping on a mattress on the floor as I will not be able to afford a bed for several years."
I am distraught. All in one week my microwave, bed and printer have broken and I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall.
It seems nuts to me that a bedframe is expected to last a mere six months???
I bought the frame in the first place because it was a bargain and had no money and here I am again sleeping on the floor.
Do I have any rights here?

Only if your prepared to fight for it. As the goods are over 6 months old you'll have to prove that the goods have an inherent fault. Quite how you go about that, I do not know. The only way I can think of is to pay for an expert in beds to look at it for you and then reclaim those costs against the seller. But they may drag to out all the way to court.
Added link for you.

Thanks. That's pretty much what I figured from what I read about consumer rights, but it seems really harsh. I mean, the law isn't really clear on what 'reasonable time' means, but I'd expect a bedframe to last more than 9 months and for the metal not to buckle. To me that implies a fault. Maybe I can work something out with the seller, but I sense they may be difficult and keep getting conflicting answers from them.0 -

My mattress is kingsized is the problem XD It probably says something about me that I'd rather sleep on the floor than downsize my mattress :P0 -

Does it say that you're large enough to bend a metal bed frame?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
