Postage and Packaging could be a problem if you advertised it on eBay, you may have to make the item "local collection only".
Do you have a local Ad-Mag? As far as I'm aware it's free to advertise in them. If not try your local newspaper maybe?0 -

Or if you cant sell it,maybe give it to your local hospital.
We had to throw away a flat screen portable tv,the little lad next door didnt want it,because the on and off switch didn't work.all he had to do was switch it off at the mains !0 -
Very difficult to sell or even give away a second hand CRT tv these days, everyone wants a flat screen LCD or plasma.0

I always give mine away to a charity a neigbour of mine is very church going, and I always ask him if anyone wants a tv I give them 4 portables last christmas so it made someones day.
