Wouldn't San An, Magaluf or Faliraki be more fun?

No No, Amsterdam is brilliant, Amsterdam rocks, Okay.

Doesnt matter where you stay really, the transport system is brilliant.

I stay in the Jordaan when I'm there. I rent a house with a garden rather than a hotel. The North, just a cross the canal , makes a nice change too. The centre itself is a bit full on, but you can walk there from the Jordaan.

I will second that, stayed in the Jordaan a few years ago, walked most places, stayed in a guest house called the Eelhouse.

Came back from Amsterdam 2 weeks ago stopped on the Botel because it was cheap compaired to the central hotels, have been to Amsterdam twice before the last time 5 years ago, i would never go back am a drinker rather than the coffee shop person and the price of beer was very expensive, being a cider drinker  most bars were 8 euro a pint cheapest bar we could find was 4euro 80 for half a cider and half a larger. Talked to lots of people who had been before and all said the same would not return. If i was him i would get of to Benidorm or Magaluf 1 euro a pint

I suppose it depends on budget and how long you are staying for?

I assume you wanna be in the thick of it?

I enjoyed staying in an apartment one year with another couple, but with most apartments you have to stay 3 nights or more.

Google apartmentaparts amsterdam (sorry i cant post links yet)

You can search via the map so makes it easy regarding finding a location u wanna stay in.

I find amsterdam a small city, so it doesnt really matter where you stay in the centre. If its for a party weekend i would try the Leidesplein area, you can go on organised pub crawls there etc.

    Cheers
