CO-OP Debt and Cash Minder

I have been a customer with barlcays since 1998 when I had my student account with them, over the last few months I have had a number of issues with them about current accounts and there banking practices. I dont care to think about the amount of time ive spent I've spent on the phone to them in the last month all over a simple bank account, if I didnt have an ulteria motive to want an account with them I would have walked away weeks ago.
So my problem, I stick with barclays who have !!!!ed me off to the max, or I go with the other option which is CO-OP. The big problem with this is I owe them £1500 on a credit card which is currently in arrears, however I have just phoned them and been approved for the cash minder account.
So what happens after my BR, as I owe them money will they just close this out of spite even though they allow other bankrupts to have accounts?
If I pay money into this account can they touch it post BR? or will they be breaking any law? taking my money without permission from the OR?
Thanks

Hmm seems co-op may have changed their T&Cs again as a little while ago they refused a person a cashminder acc if they had previous debts with them
who knows...they may allow the account they may not but either them or barclays I wouldnt put a single penny in any of the bvasic accounts till AFTER you declare bankruptcy..that way they cant take anything if they try its illegalWe all die. i think the Key here is that they will probably allow the accont as you havent actually lost them any money yet, but may find as soon as you go bankrupt the computer will say noHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

Will have to wait and see then, doesnt hurt to try, and if I dont have to deal with barclays anymore that will be a bonus. :mad:0
