*snorts* oh man, well at least I'm not alone in having an irritatingly fit OH!! DB yesterday insisted that getting a mcdonalds was 'healthy' and 'good for him' because he needs the protein and carbs to build muscle (and oodles of fat apparently!) He also insists on preening at me at every opportunity *eyeroll* Dunno how I ended up lumbered with him haha (ok the muscles help :P)
If it makes you feel better, today I ate a ginormous pizza, complete with gooey cookie. Puts your double decker to shame

I have no idea how to extract quotes from posts, so this is going to seem a random collection of observations on the above comments, but:-
Yes, it was a used postage stamp. Perhaps said landlord made his millions then reinvested in properties with damp by defrauding the postal service. I still remember the day I discovered a finger of fudge had gone up to 17p in Tesco. I was nearly sobbing in the aisles. I then discovered they hadn't updated it on their scanning machines so it still read 15p. It was a day of highs and lows. Well done on the exercise! I have not yet managed to climb that mountain, it's too dark when I get home, puts me off. I work in a City Centre, where I find most of my change. People seem to throw money (coppers, admittedly) around like confetti near supermarkets.
"i merely have to eyeball chocolate and gain 3 pounds. git." - This sentence amused me no end Paula!
Finally Mildred, that really does make me feel better. Girls are awful, aren't they?
I bought a Twirl today, it's got to stop.
I have no news today really. I am in the position to advise that a Twirl is currently 4p cheaper than a Double Decker in Tesco though. Had to pay the deposit on my work Christmas meal today - it's going to be £26.50! It's a good thing I love Christmas so much, I haven't spent that much on a meal in months.Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

To quote (like that) at the bottom of the post you want to quote, is a purple button that says "Quote" Could I say quote any more? :P

Only if you'd outdone yourself and found someone else explaining how to use 'quote' and quoted them.

Hey,
Thanks for finding my diary
Hope you are doing good today. On a note about chocolate - how about having a Curly Whirly? They are not only cheap, but have 115 calories - so win win!
When's your Christmas do? Ours isn't for a while yet, so gives me chance to save up. My favourite part is deciding what to eat!

Milky ways (the small ones...) are also good for cheap/calorie light treats!
Although I actually try not to eat anything sweet on weekdays, I've found the less often I have sugary sweet foods the less I crave them.... doesn't always work mind, but it's definitely reduced my cake-addiction to a reasonable level
I'm actually missing my work Xmas do this year which SHOULD save me money. Except for the fact that I'm missing it as I'll be in Edinburgh celebrating my 30th year on the planet by drowning my sorrows in Mojitos. Oops.Savings target: £25000/£25000

I have to say, I do love a curly wurly, I just worry with anything remotely toffee-ish that it'll yank out the crown I have in my mouth. I am scared of dentists above all things. I've bought a five pack before intending to have one a day... didn't happen.

I always feel slightly cheated by Milkyways, the spurious claim they have 117 calories in a packet, when clearly by the time you've polished off the two they've given you, you've had 234. It's like that Nutella advert where they claim it has a teaspoon of cocoa, a nut and some milk in every teaspoon... neglecting to mention the vegetable oil and sugar! I'm quite sure there are some misguided people out there walking around thinking Nutella is wholesome. I think you're right about sweet things being addictive, when I do break the hold I find it easy to resist temptation... until I fall off the wagon again.
My Christmas do is on the 14th of December - three courses and a bottle of wine for each person, so hopefully shouldn't spend too much more than the set price! It's a Wednesday, so drinking much more than a bottle of wine would probably finish me off for the next day. I wouldn't even be able to lie my way out of it. Deciding what to eat is my favourite too - I've got Christmas pudding sundae to look forward to. The mind boggles. You won't save money with Mojitos mildred, lovely though they are! When are you thirty?
I had a disastrous day on the money saving front yesterday. I had a horrendous day at work (the real low point was crying in the toilets. I never cry, let alone in a public convenience) so when I returned home at five o'clock I decided to open a bottle of wine. This was drank at an alarming rate, so I then nipped to the corner shop for another bottle. In my defence, only one glass from this bottle was drunk, along with a couple of ciders (not much of a defence). I then decided to order a pizza to surprise the boyfriend... managed to order a create your own without any sauce! It has to be the most expensive cheese on toast since records began.
Woke up this morning feeling exceedingly sorry for myself, but I've managed a NSD. I get paid on Tuesday, so concentrating on that.Barclaycard [STRIKE] £2770 [/STRIKE] now £2690.

Hey,
I'm sorry to hear about the carp day at work. Have a hug, though it looks a bit weird! :grouphug:
I've also done the trip to the off licence, but involved going to the shops drunk and desperately trying to get money to buy more as they didn't take card
I did have some issues at the time, but don't be ashamed of what you did. Alcohol isn't the answer.......chocolate is the answer. Doesn't matter what the question is!
However, be fully ashamed of your "cheese toastie" If you were going to get pizza, you have to get on with at least some sauce on it!
Just draw a line under this week and start again. Look towards next month and how you can turn it around

Ouch *hugs* sounds like a rough day!! Well done for the NSD the day after though, it's always good to get back on the wagon after a slip up
Roll on Tuesday....
My birthday is in December so we are going away early next month. Considering I'm trying to curb my spending and pay off all my debts in the next year it's not the most sensible idea to have a weekend away in a pretty expensive city! But I'm only gonna be 30 once, and I've budgeted 'holiday money' to cover the spending so it's not going to impact on my debt free date (hopefully!) Fortunately the guys I'm going away with are all on pretty tight budgets too so there shouldn't be too much pressure to go crazy spending in expensive places!
Hope this next week is less stressful for you
