I am looking to buy a desktop pc for our works office and a laptop for work and to take home so i can work from home then update the main desktop when back in the office. The desktop will be used for word processing, excel, accounting, internet and will require storage for mapping software as well photos and using wireless tecnology to transfer data from the laptop. I will also require wireless keyboard and mouse and photo/fax quality printer (which not worried wireless or not!) for the laptop which i will also use as my personal home computer. I have a 3yr old sony tv, is it possible to use this as the laptop monitor? and what about a speaker system, do i buy surround sound for the tv or a system with the computers?
In the past have always had dell and never had a problem, but open to ideas and deals. Any recommendations on brand, specs, deals or new technologies welcome. I am out of touch with new technology at the moment but would like to use the laptop as my home music system and office. I have got a bt wireless router but thats all. As for budget i want quality and reliabiltiy at the right price without being overboard. Thank you.

No reliance should be placed on the above.
