I have a £3 off £30 till spit from Sainsburys. Can I spend this in Tesco ?

Yes you can. If any of the staff ever query the cond spend coupons, tell them to look on the list on their tills. There is a button which says comp spend and then there is a full list of every competitor coupon they take. ;)
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Wow BLUEWKD, so i have the sainsbury's nectar £8 off a £40 spend and a tesco clubcard coupon for £4 off a £40 spend - can I use both of these on the same £40 shop making it £28? I thought if the first coupon took the balance below £40 I wouldn't be able to use the next coupon in addition.

I don't think you are really supposed to use both on the same £40 spend - but, CA willing (and there are a lot of temps on at the moment - not that I am suggesting taking advantage of them, just making a statement:D), it WILL work. Just make absolutely certain that you hand the Tesco conditional send over FIRST, the Sainsbury one will scan regardless of the final total.

Ah, but I'll be using £5 off a £40 Tesco shop (Daily Mail), £8 off a £40 Sainsbury's shop (nectar promotion) and £3 off a £20 Tesco shop (till spit).

    So I'll spend £45 and get a £16 discount (36% off).

Well according to this post here - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=45039618&postcount=5 - the "official usage rules are that if you for example have a £3 off £30 coupon and a £4 off £40 voucher you would need to spend combined value of coupons £70 to use both in one shop.
BUT you may, depending on your store because some don't know/follow the above rule. be able to use both the above examples on a £40 shop (highest value coupon)".

So your cunning plan might work, but be prepared to be disappointed.
