Boating Holiday Norfolk Broads

I am looking to go for a week on the broads in August 05. My wife and I are looking at going around the 6th for 7 nights. We have looked through Blakes and Hoeseasons brochures and would like a 2-4 berth sport cruiser type boat.
As this is very much peak season any help as to saving a few £ would be very helpfull. Perhaps someone may have some voucher codes or a spare boat going cheap!
Any help much appreciated.

Not sure if the following is of use:
Blakes through RSPB Leisure
I've used a similar offer to save 10% on a Country Cottages holiday, the discount didn't show until the holiday confirmation letter, and there was no requirement to prove RSPB membership.

I don't know if you shop at Tesco but you can use the clubcard vouchers to get 4x their instore in deals vouchers, and I'm sure within the deals range is one boating holiday company. Worth looking at the section on Tescos website.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams

Thanks for the tip Sarah. The company is called Drifters they seem to be canal longboat based operator but they don't appear to do the Norfolk Broads unfortunatly.
Thanks again may use them in the future.

Persoanlly, I'd steer clear of the Norfolk Broads unless you have a specific reason to go there or if you particularly enjoy it.
The canal system of GB is superb and narrowboats, for me, are the best form of transport. On the Norfolk Broads, you are more likely to encounter groups of young men and women who just want to get wildly drunk and be obnoxous to everyone. I'm sure it's not all like that but it's my experience.
Narrowboats are fantastic and the canals that you will encounter have breathtaking scenery and you can go miles without seeing another boat, something you will not get on the Broads. The locks are great for adults and children and the pubs that you stop off at are a breed apart from the touristy ones you get on the Broads.
Of course, you may love the Broads and the 'tupperware' boats but if you haven't tried a narrowboat, I would recommend it to everyone.
Have fun.Ken Livingstone is my mum0 -
I went boating last year. Haven't been to the Broads. We went on the Llangollen Canal. I did a search on Google and came up with a boat company that own the boats -Hoseasons book the boats from them. I asked for a quote directly with them and saved about 15% on the brochure price and then when I went to book it they knocked £100 off the price because I wasn't a Hoseasons customer.
Maybe you could find out who owns the boat you particularly like and then book directly with them.0 -

May have been Claymoore Navigation? The Llangollen canal is certainly a lovely one to go on, especially the local aquaduct, whose name I can neither spell or pronounce !!
I'm off on to the Oxford Canal this October with Viking Afloat (perhaps), nice boats, nice area.Ken Livingstone is my mum0 -
Thanks for the tip Elljay I will try to contact the boat owner direct when we find the right boat.
