Update on Aggressive Kitten

Hi there
Some of you may remember me from such posts as this one.
Well I'm really happy to report that my kitty seems to have turned a real corner in the last week. I'm honestly not sure what happened: he turned 16 weeks which has maybe been a bit of a milestone.
Right now he is actually curled up in my lap, is purring away and seems very happy! He has NEVER done this before and I'm so pleased he has stopped being the little monster he was before! There has certainly been no more hissing and spitting, and his paw 'swipes', though still happening, have not drawn blood in the past few days! He just seems a lot more chilled.
It seems an odd coincidence, but his behaviour seems to have changed more or less in line with him being fully weaned. His Mum was feeding him up until quite late (although she was clearly getting fed up and would discourage him after about 12 weeks) and I wonder if perhaps he was not fully 'bonding' with us because he got his daily dose of affection from Mum when getting fed. Is that likely?

It takes them a while to learn their manners, that's all. Mum would have taught him a lot of them, and then he had to learn that the rules applied to you as well.
