Switching supplier twice
Morning all,
I was wondering if anyone could help me here.
About 3 weeks ago we switched our gas & elec from Scottish Power to BG on the uswitch site. We've received a letter from BG welcoming us to them - all fine - we should be switched by the start of August.
Last week we got a letter from BG saying their prices were increasing by 18%, starting in August (or thereabouts). We switched before the price increase was announced.
This means we're now not saving anything by switching so I'd like to switch to another supplier, probably a fixed price one.
Question is, when I go to uswitch to switch my supplier, who do I put in as my current supplier - Scottish or BG? And will switching again before the first switch happens cause problems?
We're not yet being supplied by BG, but I expect it will happen in the next couple of weeks.

Put BG as current supplier, you'll still join them, then move again, can do switch now tho.0

I'd suggest that you call British Gas and tell them that you are cancelling your switch because of the price rise.
Then come back to uSwitch and compare and switch again, using ScottishPower as your current supplier.
This way you should avoid any cancellation fees.
Hope this helps.
