I have just read that NPower are planning to raise their Gas & Electricity Prices, following Scottish Power, British Gas & Scottish And Southern.
A few weeks ago I had a caller at the door from NPower. Normally I shut the door, but after Scottish Power (My provider) raised their prices I thought I would listen, and get a quote. ( I had aleady done an online quote, so wanted to compare).
The representative from NPower assured me that They will not be raising their prices, but I knew better. They all raise their prices eventually, and I told him that I would be waiting a few months to see what the other suppliers will do first before deciding on whether to switch or not.
Glad I didn't rush into a switch, as they have now announced their prices will rise in a few weeks.
Think I will stay where I am for now and see how much my bills will rise by when the Scottish Power price rises take effect.
Moral of this story: Never get forced into anything. Give it time to make your decision.

The SP price rises are already in the comparison sites, so you can check now if you know your consumption/spend. SP provide this annually on one of your bills.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
There was an article in one of the Sunday papers strongly suggesting that NP & EON were going to announce price rises this week - can't find it at the moment tho'0

In respect of Eon the article was inaccurate, I work for Eon, and altho undoubtedly there will be in increase, what and when have not been announced yet.0

Hi PlushChris
I read about it on BBC Website a few days ago, but can't find it now. They have withdrawn their Go Fix 6 Offer, supposedly ahead of price hikes. Thats according to this site. Check out the latest news.0
