Visiting The Science Museum (London) On A Sunday?

I had a dreadful experience when visiting the Natural History Museum during the 2009 Easter Holidays, which put me off visiting any other London Museums. I am however considering visiting the Science Museum, This would be on a Sunday in the summer school holidays, would this be a stupid thing to do?
My problems at the Natural History Museum (apart from from me naively thinking it would look like the Museum from Night At The Museum) was queuing outside in the rain for just under 2 hours to get in and then once inside, it was noisy, overcrowded and you were made to walk around the museum in a continuous convoy with no time to stop and actually look at anything.

You might get away with it on a Sunday, but the Science museum is far far worse than the NH Museum. Last time I took my family to the Science Museum was a bank holiday, it was one of the most stupid things I have ever done. Never again.Pants0

You would need to get there before opening time on a Sunday and I would use the side entrance which is beside the Science Museum (it has a large sign above it) as there is rarely a queue there. It gets very busy from about 11.30am so rush around and get the main bits you want to see done first.0

second getting there nice adn early. We went to the NH over Easter and we were 3rd in the side queue.... best place.
By the time we left at noon, queues were MASSIVE inside and out - nightmare!!
Have fun!!0 -
Thanks for the replies, I think I might leave the Science Museum then as we were planning on getting to The Dungeons early to try and avoid the queues there but because of the rubbish trains on a Sunday, we won't even be able to get there too early as the train arrives at Euston at 9:48am and then it's another tube or two from there.0
