  • You are not staying on hold long enough lol - it is taking me about 60-70 mins to get through on the phone (given up now so I just e-mail to which you get a response in 2-3 weeks).

    Broxis,

You have history of talking nonsense.

You are taking all of my efforts to help EDF customers over a long period of time, totally out of context.

I have had signifcant problems regarding customer service with both of the companies you have mentioned and the details are recorded on my posting record.

You dodge the point about how people should judge CS? Taking your word for a company doesn't do it for me,especially given the standard of argument you put forward elsewhere. :rotfl:

There`s only one person talking nonsense on this thread and it certainly isn`t me. You`re the one who seems to forget previous rants and then contradicts yourself a week or two later.

Why ask the question if you don`t want to hear the answer?

Haven`t you got better things to be doing like researching which company would give you better customer service. Oh, sorry.. I forgot as CS doesn`t matter does it :D

Interesting comment about OVO, I am ready to switch and have been reading reviews about OVO and EDF. OVO are the cheapest but some reviews suggested their prompt response to increase DD and sluggish response to discuss any increase or refund credit.

I was seriously considering EDF but having second thoughts now as most reviews seems to critic their customer services and although prices and savings are of very importance, I couldn’t agree more that good customer service is an important factor.

Between the two I think i will do Ovo. I will be missing my current provider Southern Electric, best ever customer service I experienced in the last ten years… but… their latest price hike made them 25% more expensive… so…. :(

in the same boat as you. Currently with SE and have the best cust srv but their prices are not favourable. I too was consider EDF but it doesn't sound good enough to make me want to switch to them.

I think I'll take my chance and see what ovo can offer, I know they are not one of the big six players but who knows, they may surprise me... and if it doesnt work, i can always vote with my feet....... :j

I am in a similar quandry (but from Scottish Power), I can't complain about the service and prices until now, they were always there or thereabouts on the comparisons. The quandry seems to be a three year fix with bad service or a one year fix with a fairly new entrant to the market. I am tending towards giving OVO a go if nothing more than encouraging a new ( I am guessing - British?) entrant to the market who (for the moment) are cheaper and infer they have slightly more green credentials.
'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher

I've posted in another thread about Edf customer service. But I can confirm that though the new online system is currently "garbage out" and phone and email contact is virtually "impossible", my transfer has worked without any telephone or responded email contact.

I think their back-office systems must be OK. And the FP 2014 tariff is *extremely* competitive.

If you switch online quoting an accurate annual consumption, there should never be any need speak with Edf during your period of custom. In saying that I'm assuming that eventually the new MyAccount system will be sorted.

My new switch to EDF (for a relative) is proceeding similarly. If customers are patient, the switch appears to be going through. Trying to contact EDF or submit readings is still a problem.

Before my holiday,I was in contact with a Senior Customer Service Manager explaining our problems. It appears that there are signs of improvement. I can now set up an online account, which was not possible for me on OS7.

As you say,the rate for many is competitive and worth sticking with.

BTW. Were you a poster (advisor) on MoneySupermarket ? I seem to remember your name when I used that Forum until it sort of died.

Yes. The MSM Forum is not dead but only "bad debt" issues have any critical mass so I'm out of it.
