International Student accounts?

Hello, I am trying to figure out what account would be best for me. I am a masters student coming from the US to study in Edinburgh. A lot of student accounts I am finding have a UK residency requirement that I don't meet and most international accounts have a fee. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Lloyds should be able to open a classic account for you which is free of charge.
I came to UK as an international student a couple of years ago, and never opened an international student account, they are honestly the worst accounts I've seen...0 -
hi
You can open any free basic or debit card account .The most of banks might pressurise you for paid accounts international ,etc but don't go for them unless you want to waste money.
with HSBC - you can opt for basic account(no debit card)
LLoyds as other moneysaver recommended- classic account- best option as you get the debit card as well.0
