Hence the past tense in my first post. To think that Jonathan is spunking ever more money to rent a place like that is amazing.0 -
I've yet to see anyone that won on STR. Greed always seems to get the better of them and they always miss the bottom.0

I've never known an internet forum that has such a weird, stalkerish obsession with another online forum. If I were interested in posts on hpc I would go and read it. I'm logged onto this one though. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

Look at it this way. Jonathan Davis sold his house in 2002 hoping to hop onto the ladder when prices crashed (having already made 100% profit from the property he sold). Since then he has been the spokesperson for the most successful Housepricecrash website in the UK (although I stand to be corrected if any other matches it). He has been saying that prices will crash between 30% and 50% for a very long time now and some people would say that a forum that in intended to debate House Prices could legitimately debate whether Jonathan was right. If I was raising comments on Ray Boulger I don't think anyone would be complaining but JD is at least as high profile as Mr Boulger.
Could anyone dispute that Jonathan Davis is a Vested Interest commentator? Could anyone dispute that he has got it dramatically wrong (so far)?0 -

Spot on.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Only one person disputes it and that person disputes it with a passion that borders on the unhealthy.
With the greatest respect it could be said that your interest in JD has become somewhat unhealthy too.
It's understandable that you'd want to try and save people from taking p**s poor advice from JD but I'm not sure that this forum is the place where that can be done to maximum effect.
Do you think it might be time to let it go?0 -
