Im a self employed artist/craft worker who need public liability insurance for up to 2 million. I often work with the general public and with school children and some insurance companies wont deal with me for some reason. I've been getting insurance through my business bank account but this is going up every year and Im trying to find a better deal. I've never had an accident or made a claim since being self employed.

Best bet is to speak to a broker.
Also take a look at http://www.insuremyliability.co.uk/
No idea what they are like but the site is quite informative.0 -
Thanks I'll give that site a try0

Hi again to Mattymoo, I've just been online and found a GREAT deal which I will be looking into. Many, many thanks0

well not such a great deal as the company only provides liability to people, building but not stock or tools. so the search is still on0

Hi - suggest you try https://www.portwood.co.uk as their list of occupations includes artists plus options for tools etc.
You may wish to ring them to check that they will fully cover your needs.0 -
