Excel "chart sizes with window" problem.

This is really odd; I've just opened a spreadsheet that I use regularly and it won't allow me to zoom in on any charts. I keep trying to uncheck the "chart sizes with window" option but it keeps putting it back to checked. I tried via tools options and it also ignores my attempts to turn this option off.
Is this a bug?
Edit: fixed it! This is REALLY stupid. I don't have a printer, but you can't do page setup with there being a printer. So I "installed" a random printer from the control panel and it then allowed me to turn the "size with window" option off.
