Whats going on PayPal??

Hi There,

I am quite frustrated about an email that I have just received with a lack of useful information to say the least, it reads along the lines of:

On, we attempted to transfer from your bank account, ending in 3777, this transfer was returned by your bank on for the reason below:

There was a bank processing error.

As a result, this bank account has been removed from your PayPal account. Please contact your bank for more information or add a new bank account. Please do not contact PayPal because this is entirely an issue between the account holder and their bank.

However when I log into my paypal the bank account is still there and the bank is still there and I cannot delete then die to a "pending payment".

The probelm is I havent payed for anything with paypal for around 6-7 months. I have recently payed for an item via debit card and had enough to pay for the item, however due to problems I have been allowed a refund.


What is going on??!!

you've received an email that wants you to click a link and enter your paypal details. It's not real Paypal but a fake after your log on details; once you donate them they'll log in and kindly steal all your money from you.

if you logged on via the link in the email, log on via http:/www.paypal.com and change your password while you've still got money in the bank

Although it's been mentioned before on here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1383843 but just seemed to be put down as a paypal problem

haha sorry I should have mentioned that .

Thanks for the link, it may be that yesterday I removed my direct debit thing to paypal from my online banking account?.

It could also be down to me getting refunded from a DD purchase?


Any thoughts?
