Does purchasing a course have the same rights as purchasing an item?

Ok. On the right hand side of the website are the memberships....which include the awarding body info.
You need to write one last time to the PI academy telling them that you are unsatisfied with their service, and for what reasons. You need to tell them what they need to do to make reparation to you as all you want is to finish the course. If you do not get satisfaction, you need to write to the Awarding Body for the qual that you are attempting to do [edexcel, C&G etc] and put a formal complaint in with your reasons and evidence. The awarding body can suspend the centre if they feel that the customers are not being fairly or properly treated and if the centre is not performing their duties - which lets face it, are to award quals to people after training them to an appropriate standard.
Most centres will do anything to avoid a suspension and most candiates are not aware that awarding bodies can and will do this if a customer raises concerns about a centre.
If it were me, I'd be saying something like 'I wish to formally complain about the conduct of assessment staff/teaching staff/whoever. The reason I am complaining is/are: [and list the reasons succinctly with dates etc]. I feel that due to my previous dissatisfaction not being taken seriously, and having lost a job due to you not returning a certificate within an agreed timescale, you leave me no alternative to request a - a return of the money [or a percentage of the money] that I have paid to you or b - a swift turnaround of the completion of my qualification; and if I do not receive either I feel I have to go to the next stage which is a formal complaint to your awarding body. I await your swift response in this matter.
Or words to that effect...If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

 Very helpful, SN.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0

Goods and services are very similar in terms of rights.
The challenge with a service, like training, is judging if something matches the marketing description when cross referenced with the contract.
Professional bodies can be a useful way of applying pressure if those bodies are worth their salt at all0
