PPI Barclays Financial Ombudsman

Hi All,

Been using the site for years and thought I would finally sign up :)

Sent off all my cover letter and copies of loan statements and also a completed Financial Ombudsman to Barclays.

I received a letter from them saying they have received my letter and should get a response before end of August.

They also attached a Financial Ombudsman and asked if I could fill it in yet I already sent it originally.

Do you think I need to send another copy or is it an automated response?

Will update my corresondance to see if im successful or not :)

Thanks alot!

  • Hi,

I've just sent off a Barclays claim too. What are your reason for complaint if you don't mind me asking?

Hi, yeah i think its standard as i had the same. Used the std form as my first letter of complaint to try and speed it up..but they just use that as a letter of complaint..dont think they actually read it but just use it to log the complaint lol. i then received a letter back with the same form asking to fill it in. i actually rung them because it confused me and they just advised to fill it in again and send back.

    good luck with yours!
I have untill 1st Sept to hear the verdict eeeek
Total Debt left £2501 :Total PPI reclaiming: £2500. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for replies, I stated that I was misold the PPI through pressure selling which was True, I also stated that it was not explained clearly to me what the PPI covered.

Me too. I'm a public sector worker and was pressured/recommended/advised it was suitable for my needs when in fact it isn't.

I also wasn't fully or clearly informed that interest would be charged on the premiums

    Good luck :)
  • recieved a letter saying being delt with and not to contact them directly, waiting patiently :)
