Hiya, I've had a look on YouTube - it looks so fast! :rotfl:

I want to know about is as our local Douglas Macmillan is having a Zumbathon to raise funds soon and I'm thinking of doing it.
I know I won't be any good but it's for a good cause.

I'm doing it Barneysmom! That's my local. I do zumba with Shaun all the time, he's brilliant and Gail looks like she's really good too!

I want to do this!!!!!!! Thinking about getting the wii one?? think i am too big to go to a class x

Clover, you are not. Honestly there are all sizes, shapes, ages at the classes I've been to. In fact I'd go so far as to say that it's more popular with the older crowd than the younger.

Clover, you can't beat the atmosphere of being in a class compared to a wii. When people first join they tend to stand at the back, and a couple of weeks later they're raring to go at the front. I would definitely give it a go, I think you'll love it.
  • I started this in february! Great fun, although lately I haven't been to class.....like for instance tonight I should be going, but going out for birthday meal instead! I like to stand near the front and at the side to see the instructors feet!

    Happy Music too!
  • Zumba is great and totally addictive!!

It makes you sweat, smile, laugh and lose weight!

Can be fast but you can go at your own pace.

Zumba's gret fun. It doesn't matter if you're no good, you can freestyle as my instructor says :). Sometimes I have to do thiongs my way as my back can cause me pain but doesn't matter if you're moving thats all that matters.

Zumba is great, I started last september although I have had to stop going for a bit as I have injured my foot and ankle. Yes def take water and maybe even a small towel or even sweat band on your wrist. Nobody bothers what anybody else is doing or looks like. Just go have fun and you to will be very addicted. Oh must add you will likely be sore a day or 2 after.

Barneysmom - I'm looking at doing the zumbathon too, I think it will be fun to be part of a world record attempt :)

Sign up for it you two, we need loads more to get anywhere near world record!

Dougie Mac approached our instructor to ask him if he'd do it and he wanted to do it September timeish, giving loads of notice to get people on board etc. but they wanted it to happen in August so it is quite last minute.
