Hi
I sent my claim off to Egg (after I had SAR'd them) to reclaim missold card PPI. I have now had a response to say that it is the policy of Egg not to refund any charges that were applied more than 6 years prior to the date of complaint. Therefore my complaint has been rejected...
(Mine were between 2003 and 2005 but I didn't even know that I had PPI, it certainly was not even mentioned to me or I wouldn't have taken it out!!))
I am sure that I have seen successful claims on here from more than 6 years ago am I right or do I just accept what they say?
Thankyou
Cath

Hi there,to go back more than 6 years you need the statements to prove you paid ppi.
I would have thought a SAR would maybe have got you the statements?.
Not sure on this though, hopefully someone who knows more about this may be able to help.0 -
I have the statements, its just that they are saying because I paid it more than 6 years ago that it is "Egg Policy" not to pay out??
Does anybody have any experience of this?0 -
