Alton Towers and Drayton Manor - where to stay?

If i were wanting to go to Alton Towers one day and Drayton Manor the next where would be the best place to stay (travelodge style preferably) i know there is only 20 - 30 miles between the two theme parks.

Tamworth ! Maybe the Holiday Inn Express by the Snowdome .................. You will be 10-15 mins away from Draytoin Manor.

I'd check out travelodges. There is one at J10 M42 Tamworth and its really near to Drayton Manor, with a 40 min drive to AT.

There's a Premier Inn in Tamworth (it's called the Ladybridge) which is about 5 mins drive to Drayton Manor.

If you fancy doing a bit of shopping as well, there's a Travelodge at Fort Dunlop which is next to the Fort Shopping centre. It's not huge, but has alot of fashion shops - Next, M&S, Dotty P's, Small Debenhams, River Island, BHS, some shoe shops, Mothercare, Boots, HMV, WH Smith and others. It takes about 15-20 mins to drive to Drayton Manor from there.

I also noticed when we went to Alton Towers that there's a Travelodge about 10 mins drive away, I think it was Uttoxeter.
