Another way is to press and hold the CTRL button and then use the scroll wheel on your mouse. One direction will reduce text size by one per click round of the wheel, and the other direction will increase it.

    HTH :)

Thanks for that, Squeaky. I see why I can't use this method - I have an antique mouse with no scroll wheel.

Do try steaming chopped-up lengths of celery and then putting them into a casserole dish with a layer of cheese sauce over them. Top that off if you like with things like breadcrumbs/tomato slices/knobs of butter - and then bake in the oven for say 200C for 20 minutes or so.

That sounds lovely! I really like cheese and celery bread so that sounds ideal to me! :)

I used to wonder what to do with any celery I had left after putting bits into salads - but then figured out its possible to cook it - and havent wasted any since. Its luverly like that....

Speaking of which - got a couple of new-to-me veggies to try out - so must head for the kitchen and start experimenting with them....

I'm a gonna fulfil a personal "ambition" yet of instantly being able to look at any food/identify it/know what to do with it and what I think of it...(I'm a..gettin' there...as peeps I come across have started asking me whats what....and sometimes I know the answer....LOL...).

Thanks for that one ceridwen - I always end up with celery left over and have no ideas other than stew.
  • I was (briefly) in Mr Ts today and most of these fabulous reductions are pennies only - and off "rubbish" food!
To compensate, the Soya milk has gone from 88p to 97p! Swings and roundabouts then....and I thought Mr T was going to make do with less profit....yeah, right!
    Normal people worry me.

That sounds gorgeous. Thanks Ceridwen. :T

  • Thanks Ceridwen, that sound delicious. I was going to dehydrate it all, but will keep some back to try this - like the idea of steaming the celery first too, hopefully that helps with the stringiness you can get with celery when its cooked as a veg in its own right. Enjoy your veggie trials.

Been to Mr T for milk and bread and cannot see much in the way of lower prices. Did get some whoopsies, mushroom 15p and lovely ripe pears 49p which Dgs munched while waiting to get out of the car park - takes ages  Tesco might have the power to have its own traffic lights but instead of using the empty back road it feeds onto the busyiest main road for miles:(

Leftovers for tea made into chow mein and Dgs had tatties, neeps and liver - that kid will eat anything you put in front of him - Dd was determined he would have a varied healthy diet. Going to see Ds's new house tomorrow - bargain renter as him and his girly really didnt get on with apartment living - one window in whole place and no room to swing a kitten! Am determined to make some stuff tonight and not fall asleep in front of tv - how do people manage when they have a baby late in life? Im exhausted and he has been to his childminder today :rotfl:
