Mrs Chip
It sounds quite exciting to be doing mobile catering especially moving over 200 miles away and should be popular. Good Luck with your venture.
I have not thought of presents yet but usually knit scarves, make up beauty boxes out of bargains from favourite sites etc."This site is addictive!"

Hi Kittie
That is exactly what we will be doing, pending the wretched council rules (and very expensive consent to trade ). There are lots of villages here that have no facilities, and we plan to visit either weekly or fortnightly. We have been told this will go down very well, so hopefully will work to everyone's benefit.
I understand why the Council need to have rules, but we are finding them singularly difficult to please, so many regs about where you can trade. In an area crying out for amenities, I would have thought that they would be falling over backwards to allow small business to trade. We hope to expand the menu to weekly specials to add a bit of variety, and perhaps link in with local social care providers to offer hot meals for the SS's who can't get around. I am keen to offer any additional services for the people in these villages that are pretty much stuck as the public transport is so infrequent.
For our first frying sessions we are donaing our profits to the local Sea Cadets, but can't promise to do that on a regular basis!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Mrs C - what are you doing and where are you going from and to? Well, with in reason of course. Come on, spill what you are up to! :rotfl::D
My old village used to have a van come every week and it was as if a swarm of locusts had decended upon the van0 -
Haribojunkie- Jude the Obscure this is one of my favourite books too along with Tess of the D'urbervilles. I believe Hardy saw someone hanged and this had a profound effect on him. I had to study Jude for A level literature - the other students preferred Alan Bennett .Each to their own eh?
Vampires - well they just suck:):AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

Just been to Cs and got a lovely pair of Briers garden shoe, brand new £2 and they are so comfy. I tend to wander into the garden to feed the guinea pigs and rabbit in my slippers and ruin them. Not much else in there thats any good. Have noticed the bric-a- brac is particularly poor nowadays.
Popped in Mr M for sugar (cheaper in big bags) and more mints for the bl**dy wedding favours, last lap now will deliver tomorrow. Next time one of ours and Dds friends gets married I am keeping my mouth firmly closed. 150 favours with 3 weeks notice as a wedding gift:eek: Bit greedy I think and not that many are turning up as she invited them through facebook
Then I am free to craft to my hearts content, got everything lined up ready to make.
My cupboards are now officially full, glad we have a solid floor cos the pantry would be in the cellar nowPromised to make chocolate muffins for Dd for tomorrow. tea is leftovers so am looking forward to an easy day now.
