Redlady - when you've got ME after having been fine all your life, you try so hard to prove you're ok. I was in Mensa too and since I got ME some days I can't dial a phone number properly. Stop trying fight it and chill oot woman. You're pushing your body too hard and thats what I did. Until I fell apart. LOL

Forgot to say - pasta machine - get an imperia :)

Thank you greenbee. I'd looked at the user comments on a few sites and that one seemed fairly popular.

Ceridwen, I did notice that a couple of comments on the Lakeland pasta machine said that the handle kept coming off. :(

Right everyone...stop and...breathe... We all seem to be running round trying to fit everything in. I made a list put on the table and came in my little office to escape with a brew for a minute.

My neighbour left a bag of new potatoes on the step for me, kind soul she is - so need to tackle them when I do my big bake in.

washing machine on, one lot on line.
50 more wedding favours to finish
    pots done
kitchen clean - early morning fur ball off cat no 1

Now I have to search the craft boxes for ribbon I know I have in stock for favours - searched bedroom and craft room at 1 am - no luck

Am staying home today come hell or high water as I can't walk or bend today  taken everything I can to push arthiritis into submission. Will just have to have a day off from the excercise regime.

Redlady, Im amazed you didnt fall asleep in the exam, you have a lot on your plate hunny but Im sure you will pass re-sits.:)

Bonnie B well doe for getting results on your washing machine survey. I keep a spare old machine 'borrowed' from son till he moves house - thats how I keep the washer karma going, they don't break if you have a spare :rotfl:

GQ I have heard so many times people struggling with ME ( I had it many years ago, or was it a bug???) and the story is still the same now , doctors just don't understand it so pooh pooh the idea it exists. But its hell for you sufferers and so many seem to be women??

Oh that is the one I have. Inspire me please, it sits on a top shelf that I never reach into

Use it for anything you'd normally use pasta for, just make it fresh (and you don't have to use egg dough, although if you have chickens its a good way of using them up). Egg-free pasta can be dried and stored in jars and tins, egg pasta frozen. You can add veg to pasta too. I found I mostly made lasagne or tagliatelle.... But ravioli are nice if you have visitors (or something that needs using up and will make good filling).

Lots of recipes on the Internet... Just get into the habit of making pasta when you want to eat it and have the time, and as with everything else, do extra each time so you have some frozen or dried for when you CBA...

Redlady, hugs to you. I am so sorry to hear that your work colleagues will delight in your exam failure. But really, you should pity them - they must be so warped, how can they ever get any real pleasure from their lives? Hold your head up high and tell them it was just a practice run.

Ginnyknit, sorry to hear your arthritis is bad. I had a feeling you would suffer after I saw you standing up all afternoon on Saturday. I have no words of wisdom to offer, sadly.

My friend had ME when she was younger when we were in our 20s.. she turned up to see me before she knew she had something and was so tired she had to leave as soon as she turned up.. told me that when it hit she couldnt lift a spoon in her cereal bowl :( Poor girl. Luckily she is much better soon and at least now it is recognised.
