Encryption of External HDD

Hi,

I have a new external hard drive that I would like to encrypt.

I have in the past used Kasperskey Kryptostorage but I found that after purchasing it you are required to renew every year in order to maintain its functionality. I think that this stinks, so I'd rather not continue with Kryptostorage.

Can anyone recommend a robust encryption option?

Many thanks,

Luke

TrueCrypt - its free and you can use any number of built in algorithms to encrypt with including blowfish and the more modern ones. Will allow you to encrypt your entire system, an entire drive/partition or to just create an encrypted space on a given drive to use as a file container which you can then mount like a harddrive.
