Praise for Orange, I think!

I received a rather large mobile phone bill this month, due to some multimedia services messages received charged at £3 each that i simply did not sign up for! I remember receiving them but just assumed it was spam and ignored them, never thought I would be charged.

Anyway I phoned Orange, they phoned the company that sent them who just claimed I signed up for it so wouldn't do anything, so Orange are adding a credit to my next bill to cover it yaaaaaaay! :T

Though I did get the name of the orange person I spoke to in case it doesn't appear... :D

That's good to know... but what about next month?! Have you managed to cancel this service? If not, you're going to keep getting the messages and I can't see Orange being so accommodating next month...

Someone subscribed my number and changing it was the only option offered, inconvenient if it keeps happening

I received 10 messages in the space of 3 minutes, and none since. I wouldn't even know how to unsubscribe now as I haven't kept them. i do now have the details of the company so will probably be writing to them to complain anyway, so I have something in writing if it happens again.

good to hear you're getting credit, most phone companies wouldnt give a hoot, but rather than changing your number is there any way they can just block the number that is sending you the texts?
