CIM have been in some 'bother' with the OFT which can be seen from this link http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/press_release_attachments/cim-requirements.pdf
and so whilst it will be worth while at some point informing OFT this is not the priority for you at this stage.

Your priority needs to be to get that offer letter written to them so you can prove you have done every thing you can given your circumstances.

yes it is.. i havent wrote to them because no addresses were provided but i did web form contact and phone them and made a payment telling them for the time being this is all i can afford and she said well we will just fast track you to court for possession of goods.

I wouldnt worry about them as long as you are making an effort to pay them something you should be ok if it went to Court.

I suggest you write 2 letters to them via recorded delivery and state that you can afford x amount per month, use the 2 address's that have been listed and await a response.

With the OFT and MOJ it looks although they are registered in Ireland and or Isle Of Man, so I dont think the same rules apply regarding the website, but they are trading from a UK address so must adhere to the UK Laws regarding collections

Thats one for the MOJ with the licence issue, if they see this they will have a field day with this firm, You should be printing a copy of that and posting it with a recorded letter disputing the full amount they say you owe them.

so they are dormant.. breaching OFT requirements set out only last october and list no address or email and the phone number states "if dealing with debt management please note we will no freeze interest and charges"

they said they will add £72 interest for every £1 i pay.

i have passed a complaint ont o trading standards, the OFT and consumer direct and the ombudsman, i will also send a copy of the requirements to tooth fairy highlighting what they are breaching - obv i still need to pay what i owe i guess but hopefully without the 72 per 1 added

Good luck and stand firm against these shysters, remember never use a payday loan company again once you have dealt with this.
