Bank account not at address

Hello, I wonder if anyone is able to help me with a query:
My boyfriend is a home-owner, he has lived in his house for 4 years. He has just told me that his main bank account is actually registered to his parents' house, along with his credit card and loan.
He doesn't have debt problems, his loan was for his car, perfectly manageable and his CC is only for emergencies and only has a couple of hundred pounds on it which will be paid off at the end of the month.
He has another credit card which has nothing on it registered to his home address as well as another current account which he doesn't use.
I have advised him to change his addresses to his actual home address where he is registered on the electoral role.
He was a victim of identity fraud about 4 or 5 years ago, before he bought his house and has been told by someone that he should have his account registered to a different address to prevent it happening again. I don't know who it was who advised him to do this and he says it was the bank but in any event, can anyone tell me if there is any benefit to him having this mis-matched accounting? I can only think it will look strange on his credit history and I have read the article on account fraud and can't find any benefit to having accounts registered to a different address.
I would be really grateful if anyone could tell me whether it will be of detriment to him that he has different accounts at different locations and if there is any reason why he shouldn't just change his accounts so they are all at his home address (and also whether he's done any damage by having them at a different address in terms of his credit file).
Thanks guys!
K
