My Belkin setup developed the same problem, so it does sound as though you have a faulty one. I too had to remove the batteries every evening, until eventually I saw on here a post about a wireless mouse and keyboard from Amazon for £4.99. It's a Typhoon, which I suppose is just another Chinese product, but it's working fine. The mouse goes to sleep if not used for a few minutes, but a left click brings it back to life. By ordering the free Helmanns sandwich recipe book at the same time, the whole lot was delivered express for free also. The only down side for some people would be the bulkiness of the mouse perhaps, it's a bit chunky, and I suppose it may not be as flash-looking as some, but for £4.99, who cares!
