Help needed please

I am hoping that you can help me. I took out an egg card many, many years ago. I think (can't remember) that it was pre-2000. When I filled in the forms I know I definitely put on there that I wasn't in employment. I am a stay at home mum. I remember being very surprised that I got the card due to not working. I have had the card right up until this month when I cancelled it as they were putting the interest up to 26%. Stupidly I never thought to look at what exactly I was paying. When I cancelled the card I looked properly and on there it says CREDIT CARD REPAYMENT PROTECTOR and the amount of money to be paid. I am wondering if this is PPI (sorry for being thick).

So if it is PPI and I have a chance to claim it back what is my next step? I know I wouldn't have asked for it (or more than likely understood what it was) as like I say I was/am a SAHM and so wouldn't have been able to claim.

    Hello there

That is quite possible that its the same as PPI, if it supposed to cover for sickness/unemployment etc, then it will be the same, you could make sure on this with EGG or google it in the search box which may confirm more.

The cover in this case was worthless to you, back in 2001 I was sold PPI alongside a Credit Card and was a full time mum/Houseperson, and clearly remember being told that its all part of the package, I did not have a clue or any knowledge of how these worked then, but made a reclaim and was successful.

To make a reclaim, complete the step 3 questionnaire below, send to the dept or head office/complaints section of EGG, and keep a copy for yourself, allow 8 weeks for a decision and they will write and ask for more time if required.
    Good luck with this.
