Hot water cloudy

Is it usual for the hot water to run cloudy from the tap,we have a combi boiler and when the cold tap is on it runs clear.

    It's nothing to worry about.
    It's probably just air. Millions of tiny air bubbles and as the water settles they go away.

    The water from combi boilers is heated directly from the mains, so the only time the water is released to the atmosphere is when it comes out of the tap.
    This means that during heating, the calcium bi-carbonate present in the water changes to calcium carbonate.
    his causes the creation of Carbon Dioxide which close up is seen as millions of bubbles, this is not sediment it’s merely cosmetic.

    If you run some hot water into a glass you'll see that it clears from the bottom as the gas escapes.

    This phenomenon is more apparent in hard water areas and from models with perhaps slower and/or lower flow rates.

    We have exactly the same situation, our hot water is mains pressure and we always get the cloudyness, never been bothered about it but the explanation is helpful cheers

    With a name like muckybutt I would be very concerned about the ability of your water supply to clean effectively :rotfl:!
