Speak to them and ask if you can send it back.

When you informed them of the fault was it within 6 months of purchase or outwith?

If it was less than 6 months, it would be up to the store to prove it wasn't faulty. Over 6 months means that technically YOU have to prove it's faulty and not broken through mis-use.

Is there no one you could get to give you a lift to your nearest store?

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Ahhhhh i've just read their website.

OP the reason they may be asking you to go to your local store is so they can provide you with a courtesy stroller while yours is being fixed.

How far away is their nearest store from you? Is it just difficult to get to due to not having personal transport or is it miles away?

If the faults inherent she wouldnt have to buy a new pushchair. She'd be entitled to repair/replacement/refund.

I can see why they're asking her to go in store (ie to provide a courtesy pushchair while hers is being fixed). But remember that any remedy isnt supposed to put the consumer out of pocket and nor is if supposed to cause significant inconvenience. If the nearest store is 50 miles away, i'd say thats significant.
