LOVEFILM - Free Christmas gift, yeah right!

Did anyone else receive a Christmas card from Lovefilm where they state that they'd like to thank you for your support throughout the year by giving you 3 months free rental? And then they enclosed vouchers which you can't use? Then in small text at the back it states that this cannot be used by existing members so why not give it to friends and family.
How STUPID is that? we want to reward you by being loyal but your thank you gift is for new customers only??

The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.

I cancelled a couple of weeks ago and wasn't going to rent anymore for sometime.
But I've signed up for another free 3 months after receiving this .....It's a hard life!:rolleyes:

You can use them on existing accounts - we did - but it changed us down from the 3 at a time package to 2 at a time package - changing back during the same month that change down will undo the trial and still they'll charge you for both packagesI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

I wonder if you were sent a different type. When I tried to use mine it came up with an error message stating that records show I have not cancelled and my membership was still running so I cannot use at this time. I suppose I could have used it if I'd clicked the 'I'm a new member' tab?? That doesn't make sense. i got 2 tried to use it but said i had to cancel my account 1st although i havent used them for 4-5 mnoths anyway?0

I got those but didn't get confused by the fact it's gifts for friends etc.
It seemed pretty clear to me, I just gave them away.0 -
there not only gifts u can use them as my father in law did when he got osme thru the post and he used to be a member also0

After my email to their customer services they said it was a computer glitch that prevented me from using it without cancelling but that they had sent me a link and if I follow that link it should work.
I guess it was a computer glitch also that printed in small font behind the voucher that it will not work for existing customers.
