  • Sniping has been mentioned before but not Hammersnipe. However it only bids 15 seconds before the end and even though I have never used a sniper I thought most bid 2 seconds before the end.
  • Thanks, had not seen the 'want it now' section before! x

    great site, they tell you what you would get if you bought an auction like, watch tv on your pc, make money, get free credit, and on and on
    go to http://www.floodle.net/extra/ebayinfo/index.html and it will tell you even you can start selling to make money

    Fantastic link if not a few days to late (You can earn £300 a week etc etc got me first).
    Another site that I have found to be a real life saver is: http://www.auctiva.com/

    This is a sister company of ebay i think. I spent over 2 hours when i placed my first auction on ebay as i was trying to write the whole thing in HTML and this does it all for you as i write my description in word and then it converts it al to HTML.

    Please let me know if you did this on your first auction as i felt very silly afterwards.

    Photographs for ebay auction listing are a vital selling tool. The first photo is free with a charge being levied on additional photographs. To avoid these costs use a free image hoster, there are many to choose from two of the more popular are;

    Some editing of the photos may be required. Cropping, resizing or compressing can be done to produce photos optimised for ebay. This can be done using a free image editor, a very good and powerful open source editor is The Gimp which can be downloaded from;

    To protect the copyright of your photographs a watermark can be added. This will help to deter the copying of your auction listing photographs. A free program for doing this is the Picture-Shark which can be downloaded from;

    Ebay allows the use of HTML to produce auction listings. This option should should be used as it can speed up the listing process and create customised auction designs ( thus avoiding paying for ebay's listing designs) . A powerful and free html editor is the HTML-kit editor which can be downloaded from;

    For free information and help for photo editing, watermarking, using HTML in ebay listings and for free auction templates try here;
