Radio Unlocking Code Help

Hi, Can anybody please help.I have a 2001 Rover 25 that is fitted with the original factory fitted Radio Cassette.A friend of mine has recently changed the CD Radio in his 2001 Rover 45 and given me the original CD Radio.
I have had two attempts at putting in the code he gave me with the set without success.Knowing that if i try for a third time without success i will then need to wait an extra hour to try again.
I have the serial numbers from the set and was wondering if there is anyone out there who could possibly confirm the code i have.
The set is a Blaupunkt with a serial number of BP02631 18397733.
There is also a few other numbers listed on the set which are FD221 INDEX 49.
7640 263 342 40/44/46.
