Arrrgghhh
OH has been messing about the laptop again and is obsessed with having the new versions of things. I never install the new version of things as I am completely happy with what Ive got.
He has put a new version of Opera on this evening and it now no longer has a small arrow at the right hand end of the address bar on the top. The drop down arrow used to have all the written addressed I had accessed, it doesnt seem to be the same as the history and is not bookmarks.
How can I get this back. I have asked him to get me back the old version and he says he cant do this, it wont install (or deinstall, Im not sure)
help!

Try clicking in the address bar, and then pressing the up or down arrow key on the keyboard.0

Opera 11.50 is, IMHO, not as nice as 11.11 or 11.10 - it looks too "apple" IYSWIM across the menu bar. Just download 11.10 (or .11) and install - it removes any previous version but keeps your bookmarks. Get whichever version here:-
http://www.filehippo.com/download_opera/
and choose your version from the links down the right-hand side......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
thanks everyone, the up down button tip has worked but its not ok, i dont like it.
i will tell him to do the version you state above.0 -
The drop down can be enabled in 11.50 by:
Type opera:config (opens configuration menu)
Expand 'user prefs'
Look for 'show dropdown box in address field' and check the box
Seems the number one question on the opera forums (where you would have found your answer...). Personally I never use the dropdown arrow.0 -
