Speaker for car

I purchased a sub for my car in March 2011 and last week it developed a fault.
I took it back to the shop and they sent it off for repair but they kept my receipt. I paid via Visa Debit.
If they suddenly deny knowledge of me and my speaker would a bank statement be good enough to prove otherwise. And if the manufacturer say its beyond repaid will the shop still have to replace it?
Thanks

Go back to the shop and ask for your receipt. If they need a copy, tell them to photocopy it.0

If the lost is (Small chance maybe. Just covering all options)
Would my statement still be good enough if I had to take it further?0 -

Yes - legally all you need to show is proof of purchase, and a bank statement would suffice - although if you bought several items at the same time, it will be more difficult to prove what exactly was bought - hence the advice to get the receipt back.0 -
Went back to the shop and got told its been filed but they guy who filed it has now gone away for two weeks. So to come back then.
Is there anything i can do here other then wait 2 weeks?
