How often is it reasonable to view your new house while awaiting completion?

Just had offer accepted on new build, I assume completion will take 6 weeks or so, how often do you think its reasonable to ask the estate agent to view the property? (you know how it is, there's always little things that occur to you after you've visited a week later etc...)

I viewed mine once after having an offer accepted, which was actually only the second of two viewings we did before shelling out a 6 figure sum for the place (although it is very nice). Really I feel like we should have viewed it more times than that, 3 or 4 sounds ok to me.0

I would advise visiting a new build as often as possible. When my sister bought her new build my Dad went and took photos of the 1st and 2nd fix (so he knew the layout of pipe work and electrical cables behind the plasterboard). Also, if you have specified certain things like the colour of the worktop its best to go and check before it gets fitted rather than wait until completion and find that they've installed the wrong kitchen etc...0

Sorry I'm dumb I didn't explain properly - it's fully finished, so no option to choose things or look at development etc, just gotta wait 6 weeks or so for the legal stuff to happen.
Hmmm I might ask to go once again now we've completed, then once more in a few weeks time if necessary, it's only a 5 minute drive from their office anyway...

If it's a new build I'd probably make a weekly visit... it's not like you're disturbing people

I agree with Alter Ego.... go along, and take tons of photos! Then you can look back through them at your leisure to remind you of all the things you forgot to check

i'd say go as often as you like, if the only person being inconvienienced is the estate agent sod em! they're making money out of the sale of the property and at the end of the day its their job to help the buyer or seller whoever is involved.
plus buying a house is probably the biggest thing you'll ever purchase and you'll want to make sure everything is right when you're spending that sort of money.
but i do agree with previous posters take plenty of photos and view at your own leisure to get a good idea of things.
we moved house 7 weeks ago after viewing the house only once , well actually my oh went twice but big mistake wish we'd gone a couple more times at least and took photos would av made things a lot easier.
good luck with everything and hope everything goes well0 -
Taking photos is a good idea - there's no one in the house to object to that.
I bought my current house from a private vendor after one viewing.
After the offer was accepted, the vendor made it clear subsequent viewings were not welcome.
This made things a little awkward, but I went along with it.
Worked out OK, the vendor left the house in a better condition than I might have expected.0
