Black and Decker Hedgetrimmer GT 501

Options
I have a Black and Decker hedge trimmer just over 2 years old (guarantee expired). Today it suddenly stopped working. There does not seem to be any power getting through. I have checked the fuse, the plug and that here is no cut in the lead all seems OK. Has anyone else encountered this problem. Any suggestions

It is a normal occurrence for the cable on portable power tools to flex and to break close to the cord grip where it enters the casing. Wiggle it about in or near the cord grip and see if it comes on again. Quite often, cutting 150mm off from the cable where it enters the machine and remaking the connection will do the trick. There may be nothing to be seen on the outside of the cable, but the cores could still be damaged.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Good advice from col . Have you also checked that the socket ( and any extension) that you use for your trimmers is actually delivering power?
    Forgotten but not gone.
