Do a search on google but my advice is 'Get them all'...he is brilliant!

Also check out the Black Books series also on DVD which also stars Dylan Moran.

  • I believe this is the latest Bill Bailey release, according to HMV it was released on 27th Nov 2006. It contains all 3 previous releases "Cosmic Jam", "Bewilderness" and "Part Troll".

There's also more info on Bill's official website: http://www.billbailey.co.uk/

Bill Bailey, very funny. His Belgium fire engine jazz music sketch made me laugh a lot.
    Happy chappy
  • Bill Bailey is indeed incredibly funny in my opinion. I am a huge fan.
As Minerva69 correctly said his most recent release is the box set of his previous 3 releases Bewilderness, Cosmic Jam and Part Troll.
This would be best value if your gift recipient doesn't have any Bill Bailey DVD's but bear in mind that they are all re-releases so they may have some of them already.
The most recent release of the three is Cosmic Jam which was released in 2005 with a directors cut bonus DVD of Bewilderness which made it good value. Cosmic Jam is the newest release but the material is actually the oldest of the three and dates from Bill's tour in 1996.
Bewiliderness was the first of the three DVDs to be released on it's own and it's material dates from 2001.
Part Troll was released in 2004 (after Bewilderness and before Cosmic Jam) but is the newest material - dating from the Part Troll Tour of 2003/04. It's also the funniest in my opinion though they are all great
So effectively the boxset is newest. Of the individuals, Cosmic Jam was released on DVD most recently but Part Troll contains the most recent material.
    Hope that's not too confusing.
In terms of value I would check a Shopbot or two and compare Amazon Marketplace / Ebay prices for the best prices.
Bill will be touring again later this year (October/November time) with his new show Steampunk I believe so for a truly great gift in the future I would highly recommend looking out for tickets for that. I would sign up to his website mailing list for early info as Bill doesn't tour that often and it usually sells out fast, if you were interested.
    Hope that this helps

Great info there. You ARE a huge fan :D My sister (gift is for her) said there was a new one out, guess she was wrong. Im not sure what or if she has any of his DVD's already but i can always keep the duplicates

  • The HMV price for the boxset is an excellent one however so even if the person does have some of them already I guess they duplicates can always be given away/sold on.
Bizarrely it's even cheaper than the individual DVDs!
