Hi
I wonder if anyone can help? I am looking to reclaim PPI from Barclays and cannot find the original paperwork. I have found a bank statement with a payment for the loan on it and it does have a ref, should i just use this or should i send a SAR to get more information.
I dont want to delay anything by sending incorrect information.
Thanks in advance

Hi Lindy
How old is the account?
What you could do (is what I done) I emailed my bank Lloyds and gave them as many details as possible and requested they forward me all the loans/credit cards taken out, and they went all the way back to my very first loan in the mid 90's.
I gave them our full names, address and old address because our first loan was when we lived at our last address, oh the bank account number of course lol and date of birth.
I had done this on the Friday before last and on the Monday received the email.
Failing that you could try calling into your local branch, which is what some have done, and spoken to the staff/branch manager who checked on the computer.
However, when you say ref number, maybe that is the account number your looking for perhaps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
